It was lovely to be aknowledged at the mumsclub.co.uk Business Awards 2010 on the 8th of April. I was given a Special Achievement Award "For many people distance is a problem but not for Victoria, even though she lives so far away in the Orkney Isles, with social networking she’s never far away; she is well known and well liked on the ‘mumpreneur’ circuit. The volume of votes she received is testament to her popularity. (Thanks to all my lovely friends & customers!) She’s had more than her fair share of heartache too but she hasn’t let it affect her.
From her corner in the Orkney Isles, she quietly gets on with building her empire. She is quite simply a wonderful inspirational mum in business. We felt that Victoria deserved special recognition because of the determination to become part of the mumpreneur community, despite her location."
I was gutted that I couldn't attend - but it was just too far away for me to travel due to various family commitments. You can see some fabulous photos from the event here though!
